Stephanie is a retired physiotherapist and mom to two teenage daughters. She began quilting in 2013 during a BERNINA class in Somerset West, completing her first disappearing nine-patch quilt as a picnic blanket still cherished by her family. This experience taught her the importance of accurate cutting and precise piecing. Over time, Stephanie fell in love with mixing applique and traditional blocks.
Four years ago, she embraced longarming, investing in a HandiQuilter Simply Sixteen after outgrowing her previous machines. Passionate about ruler work, free-motion quilting, and pantographs, quilting has filled the gap left by her career and introduced her to an inspiring community of quilters.
