Ronelle van Zyl has a background in graphic design, printmaking, and the visual arts. She now focuses on cyanotype – an alternative
photographic printing technique using sunlight to create striking blue-and-white botanical prints. Her work draws on the fynbos and sea plants
of her surroundings, reflecting a deep love of nature, form, andexperimentation. Ronelle is a calm and thoughtful teacher who enjoys
sharing her knowledge. Students can expect a creative, relaxed class full of discovery and surprise. Ronelle treats every plant with equal
respect – from wild weeds to rare species – and believes the sun is her most reliable collaborator!
