Let go of patterns and embrace the joy of improvisation!
In this class, you’ll create a contemporary quilt using freehand cutting, simple curves, and machine piecing - no rulers or templates needed. Through class demos and hands-on guidance, you’ll learn valuable freestyle construction techniques and make intuitive design choices as you go. Discover the creative freedom of improv piecing while drawing inspiration from the powerful work of the Gee’s Bend quilters.
Like jazz or dance, this offbeat and expressive approach invites you to trust your instincts and enjoy the unexpected. Your quilt will be as unique as your creative voice.
