Fabulous Free Motion!
Telene will share her secrets to achieve success with Free Motion Quilting. Students will start right at the beginning and work their way up towards quilting freedom! They”ll learn how to develop muscle memory, rhythm of stitching to achieve instant results, 3 basic exercises to build confidence and various beginner designs. An introduction to rulerwork and stencils will also be taught.
This Class is also Day 1 of 106T FMQ Combo 1 and 107D FMQ Combo 2.
No Kit Required
- Quilt Sandwich: An already-sandwiched practice piece of approximately 35” square ( can be rectangular as well, can also be 2 x fat quarter sized pieces).
a) Please don’t use your best quilting fabric for this as these will be practice pieces.
b) Please don’t use a bold or busy print fabric as you’d need to be able to see your stitching clearly.
c) A solid colour or marbled or tone-on-tone colour fabric will be perfect, preferably 100% cotton.
d) Any batting will work, use your scraps available for a single layer of batting.
- Thread: Good quality thread in matching colour to your fabric and also a contrasting colour.
