Bettie van Zyl has been a quilter since 1980 and has been teaching and entering competitions since 1994. As a SAQG Accredited Quilting Teacher, she teaches the building blocks of traditional techniques. However, she likes to experiment with the latest techniques and pass them on to students, from beginners to experienced quilters. She is well-known for her Design, Precision Piecing, Pixel Puzzles, Shatterings, Confetti, and No-Pain Tessellations classes. Her students are encouraged and empowered to design and create their original work from their inspiring environment.
Textile History is her interest, quilting is her passion, and fabric is the medium that makes it all come together.
