Good Hope Quilters' Guild

The Stoep Quilters get together every second week on a Thursday in the

Dutch Reformed Church Hall in Panorama from 9.30 to 13h00.  We have

quite a few very experienced quilters in our group who from time to time

present courses at the "Sew much more" quilting shop in Boston,

Bellville.  We have guest quilters from other groups every now and again

to visit and show us their work. Every year on National Quilters day we

have a workshop for the whole day and that is always very inspiring. We

try to work on a new technique that day because we then have enough time

to do it in class. We all take a plate of eats with and we have lunch

there - that is such a fun day!

Our group has grown from 6 members (when we started on Annemarie's stoep

originally) to 33 ladies currently! It is a very informal get together

and we all share our quilting knowledge with each other. There is no

pressure on anyone to finish a project if they dont feel like it - our

motto is that it is supposed to be a relaxing morning and you do

whatever you feel like.( Some of us even take our knitting or crochet

work with sometimes if you are not busy with a quilting project)
