The Busy Lizzies was started in 1998. We are a small group of 12 quilters who meet on the 1st
Saturday of each month form 9h30 until 4h00 at Una's house.

Everybody brings their sewing machine and the day is spent stitching. We usually have
workshops or work on existing projects or U.f.O''s. We make quilts for family and friends and
when there is a special birthday, a 50th or 60th, the group makes a quilt as a gift.

We have held exhibitions to raise funds for T.0.P (The Hive) - an N.G.O for women affected by
H.IV and Aids.

Because we are a small group we have become friends who laugh at lot, talk a lot and just have
great fun every time we meet. Our meetings are informal so there is a relaxed atmosphere with
enough eats to go around
