Good Hope Quilters' Guild

Meetings are held four times a year in February, May, August and November.   All paid-up Members are admitted free of charge,  Visitors are welcome at R40.

These meetings are jam-packed days filled with opportunities and experiences for everyone.

Quilt Display - The groups of the quarter and hosts for the day and set up a beautiful display of work for your delight.  Techniques range from traditional to innovative and art and sizes range from miniatures to extra large!.

Shopping - Helpful vendors are there to meet your every need and tempt you with their “bargains” and specials.

Tea and refreshments - light refreshments are on sale.

Guest speakers - We invite excellent Guest speakers who entertain and enlighten you on a variety of quilt-related topics.

Meet and Stitch : Network - There is opportunity to meet friends, stitch together and network with members.

Demonstrations - Watch demonstrations of techniques and get tips and hints on many methods.
Mini workshops - Hands-on mini workshops can inspire and get you going on a new project.
Slide shows - When scheduled, these shows are a visual pleasure and always inform and inspire the viewers.

Meet the teachers - Meet the teachers - ..... giving you the opportunity to decide on what workshop you would like to attend.

Make friends - Renew old bonds and make new friends. Enjoy the fellowship and company of quilters.

Show and Tell - You will be amazed and inspired by members' work. Bring yours to show off too!

Library - We have an extensive lending library of books and magazines available at each meeting.

Awards, Challenges and Competitions - The guild offers members the opportunity to enter competitions and challenges. Gain recognition and rewards for work submitted. The Janetta van der Walt Pewter Rose bowl is awarded each year as the Viewers' Choice.


Annual General Meetings are held in the month of May.
